In order to implement this style within my UX redesign of Dark Sphere’s website, I shall put more of a focus on the image of the products and allow for more products to fill each screen of the customer’s search. This, and a greater focus on the ‘Buy’, or ‘Add’ Button CTA will make browsing and purchasing items easier for the user.
What traditional e-commerce websites do to present their products is to have a primary focus on a main thumbnail-style image. The picture allows the end-user to make an immediate assessment of the product.
Competitors also achieve what Dark Sphere should be aiming for in the goal of giving different subsets of their target audience what they want through as few clicks as possible. In this example from Amazon, users starting their journeys wanting Customers Service, to register with Amazon, to Buy a Gift Card or Sell through Amazon are all served immediately through this top bar element.
